In an interview last month on Inside INdiana Business Television, President Joe Hart talked about the team’s name change and momentum.
The team says, by the first pitch of Wednesday’s game, it had reached a record of 259,530 fans for the 2015 season. The previous record of 258,836 fans was set in 2014.
The team set a single-game attendance mark of 7,575 fans during a game in April against the Great Lake Loons. At the time, Hart said the numbers were giving "me, the team and the staff goosebumps."
The team unveiled its new logo, colors and home jersey last December. The franchise, formerly known as the Silver Hawks, last year switched its Major League affiliation to the Chicago Cubs.
