GE to Dismantle Fort Wayne Office Building

(NYSE: GE) on plans to handle a water-damaged office building. In a letter to the city, GE says it could begin demolition in a few weeks and wrap it up a month later. Statement from the City of Fort Wayne about GE property
“The City of Fort Wayne is aware of GE's decision to demolish an office building on their property on the east side of Broadway near McCulloch Park for safety purposes.
The City of Fort Wayne and GE are involved in proactive discussions about the future of the GE property.
'We appreciate GE's openness and willingness to work with us as we come together to determine how to best utilize a large area of land in an important corridor in our City,' said Mayor Tom Henry. 'I'm encouraged that we're in position to work collaboratively with GE to develop a viable plan for the property as we invest in the future and build on the momentum we're experiencing in our community.'”
