Gas City industrial maintenance company acquired

Subscribe NowIndustrial Maintenance Specialists Inc., a millwright and rigging contractor headquartered in Gas City, is under new ownership. Michigan-based Commercial Contracting Corp. has acquired the Indiana company, though financial terms are not being disclosed.
Commercial Contracting Corp. is a general contractor and equipment installation company headquartered in Auburn Hills. The company said the acquisition expands its regional operational reach, especially in Indiana, where it has a more than $2 billion project history.
“The combined synergies of our firms and people greatly increases our ability to service clients throughout the Midwest USA” CEO Stephen Fragnoli said in a news release. “We’ve always had a presence in Indiana and with an office we hope to tap into the exceptional talent the State has to offer.”
It was not immediately clear how many Industrial Maintenance Specialists employees would be transitioning to the new company. A request for more information from Inside INdiana Business was not returned.
Dan Soultz, the previous owner of IMS, said he is excited about the positive impact the acquisition will have.
“The combination of our companies marks an exciting new chapter, continuing the legacy that my partner, Ronda Jones, and I have passionately built over the last 25 years,” Soultz said. “Together, we are poised for continued growth in this market and beyond.”
CCC said Soultz will assist with the transition and “contribute to the company’s continued progress for the foreseeable future.”
Industrial Maintenance Specialists provides a variety of services, including project management, custom fabrication, specialized rigging and ongoing maintenance.
The company operates a three-building campus in Gas City with another location in Kokomo, according to its website.
