Evansville companies join forces through acquisition

Subscribe NowEvansville-based Pro-Tex-All Co., a janitorial supply, equipment distribution and chemical manufacturing company, has acquired Gem Chemical, also based in Evansville, the companies announced this month. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Gem Chemical was founded nearly 60 years ago and specializes in janitorial supplies and services.
Pro-Tex-All has been in business for more than a century and provides chemical cleaning products, as well as training and equipment repair services for clients in a variety of industries, including hospitality, health care and property management.
“This union represents a pivotal step forward for both companies,” Pro-Tex-All CEO Rich Easterling said in a news release. “Together, we are poised to deliver unparalleled value to our customers, leveraging our combined expertise to introduce innovative products and services. Our shared vision for excellence and commitment to our clients will drive us to new heights.”
Easterling told Inside INdiana Business that Gem Chemical’s team of five employees will join his company, with Gem’s operations moving into Pro-Tex-All’s facility. The acquisition brings Pro-Tex-All’s headcount to 21.
The combined company will continue to operate under the Pro-Tex-All brand.
