Control Specialists in Evansville sells to Houston-based engineering company

The deal, which closed Nov. 6, gives the Houston-based Relevant Industrial another holding in the Midwest to go with its plant in Calvert City, Kentucky.
Control Specialists maintains HVAC systems, repair services and other control instruments for clients. The company’s president, Jonathan Wandling, said in a release that he’s excited to expand the company’s clientele with Relevant.
“Partnering with Relevant represents an exciting opportunity for Control Specialists, our employees and our customers,” Wandling said. “Since 1983 we have been dedicated to providing high-quality products and services to keep our clients’ processes running smoothly. Becoming part of Relevant allows us to leverage their extensive resources, give a full service offering across a wide range of industries, and deliver even greater value to our customers.
The companies did not release the financial terms of the sale. Representatives from CSI did not respond to questions about the deal from Inside Indiana Business.
According to the release announcing the acquisition, CSI’s facility in Evansville includes a panel shop and pressure and temperature calibration services.
Relevant focuses on manufacturing devices and automated processes in a variety of industries.
