Paco Manufacturing is merging its manufacturing operation in New Jersey into its southern Indiana facility, which will involve a nearly $160,000 capital investment and the creation of 14 full-time jobs.
The Clarksville operation has been in business since 1953 and at its current location at 2120 Addmore Lane since 1968. The company provides automation systems, contract machine work, fabrication, machinery, controls and other services for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, warehousing, and consumer goods industries.
Paco Manufacturing Vice President Robert Daily said in a news release that the expansion marks an exciting new chapter for the company.
“We are committed to investing in our local community by offering competitive wages and training to contribute to our employees’ success,” Daily said. “We are excited to increase our capacity, continue providing high quality products to our customers, and watching Clarksville grow stronger because of our efforts.”
The new jobs will double the company’s current headcount in Clarksville. In addition to the capital investment, Paco plans to invest about $153,000 in training for its employees by 2025.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. is committing up to $130,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
“With significant investment and the creation of new, high-paying jobs, Paco is not only contributing to our economy, but also enhancing Clarksville’s reputation as a hub for innovation and industry,” Clarksville Town Manager Kevin Baity said in a news release. “We look forward to their continued success and are excited to support their growth in our community.”
Paco expects the integration to be complete by 2025.
