Longtime CEO Sam Shanks will retire in early October, ISU FCU announced this week, and she will be succeeded by Brian Zuber.
“I am honored to have been selected as the next President and CEO of ISU FCU,” said Zuber in a written release. “I look forward to joining the current team and am excited about what we can accomplish together for ISU FCU members.”
According to ISU, Zuber was most recently the chief operating officer for Heartland Credit Union in Springfield, Illinois. Before that, he worked in managing roles at Scott State Bank and Staley Credit Union.
The credit union’s announcement also celebrated Sam Shanks for her four decades with the company. The release honored Shanks’ work saying it was “instrumental in the credit union’s growth and success, leaving the organization in a strong position for future advancement.”
Zuber is starting in early October. There will be a brief transition period before Shanks officially retires later in the month.
ISU FCU is based in Terre Haute and is a member-owned financial cooperative.
