Padnos this week announced the acquisitions of Sam Winer as well as Howe Auto Sales in Bay City, Michigan and Grandpa’s Garage in Traverse City, Michigan.
A representative from Padnos declined to say what the price of the acquisitions were nor whether employees at the companies being purchased would be affected. Padnos CEO Jonathan Padnos said in a statement the purchases are part of the company’s growth strategy.
“These three acquisitions align with our strategy to grow our regional network,” Padnos said. “Padnos looks forward to serving the communities in Elkhart and Bay City while continuing to serve in Traverse City.”
The company did say that Sam Winer & Co. will continue to do business as Padnos Elkhart, while the other two locations will similarly change their names.
The three new purchases aren’t the first for the fourth-generation family-owned company. Per the release, Padnos has 30 locations in Michigan and Indiana and has over 900 employees.
