The health system said the facility is designed to provide a comprehensive range of services and will house Beacon Medical Group primary care and select specialty physicians.
The two-story, 25,500-square-foot facility will be located at Lincoln Way East and Church Street across from the Mishawaka Public Library.
Beacon said the main level of the center will focus on physical therapy services, while the upper level will feature a full suite of advanced imaging services, as well as exam and procedure rooms.
“This new location is driven by growing patient demand not only for care close to home, but also for convenient access to outpatient services, including physician visits, procedures, diagnostics and imaging,” Beacon Chief Strategy and Digital Growth Officer Diane Maas said in a news release. “Building in the heart of downtown Mishawaka underscores our commitment to improving patient access and delivering convenient health care.”
Crews will first begin demolition of the former PNC Bank branch and the Mishawaka Utilities business office building on the site in early August. Construction of the new outpatient center will start the following month.
“Beacon Health System’s state-of-the-art facility will not only bring essential healthcare services closer to our residents, but also revitalize a key corner of our city at Lincoln Way and Church Street,” Mayor Dave Wood said in the release. “We are committed to fostering a healthier community, and this outpatient center is a testament to our ongoing dedication to the well-being and prosperity of Mishawaka.”
The new facility is slated to open in early 2026.
