In late March, the Fort Wayne City Council approved the company’s property as an Economic Revitalization Area, which is a city tax abatement program. Over a 10-year period, the company is expected to pay about $1.23 million in taxes to the city.
The company specializes in ammonia refrigeration and works in commercial HVAC installation and industrial refrigeration and mechanical services.
With the growth, the Fort Wayne-based mechanical contractor said it will add 11 high-paying jobs with an average salary of over $87,000. Its annual payroll will increase by $965,000 and total $8.8 million. All 95 current employees will be retained.
The expansion will include 13,000 square feet of office space, a 12,000-square-foot warehouse and a 9,000-square-foot fabrication shop, according to city documents. New personal property manufacturing and IT equipment will also be installed.
According to the documents, TJW had $40 million in sales last year, a nearly $10 million increase from 2022. The expansion will accommodate the growth the company has seen, according to the company. The land at 2605 Innovation Ct. is currently vacant and undeveloped.
The company expects to break ground on the project next month with completion in about a year.
