The new space, the furniture manufacturer said, was designed to “promote teamwork, innovation and employee well-being.”
The facility is located 1919 Hospitality Drive in Jasper. The relocation comes about a year after Indiana Furniture consolidated four plants into one campus and brings the company’s entire operations within a half-mile on the city’s south side.
CEO Max Verkamp said in a news release the move is a significant milestone for the 119-year-old company, calling it the beginning of a new era.
“We are thrilled about our new location, as this will foster a stronger sense of community and collaboration, more efficiency, and further build pride, all of which helps us and our culture, but also strengthens how we approach and service our customers,” Verkamp said.
The new facility features a mix of private and open work areas, meeting rooms, break and café-inspired areas, as well as an interactive furniture studio for showcasing the company’s offerings and a furniture lab for product development and prototyping.
Indiana Furniture did not disclose its financial investment in the new headquarters or last year’s consolidation efforts. Multiple requests for more information were not returned by deadline Tuesday.
