In her new role, the town said Lethig will seek to lead and grow the town’s development and redevelopment efforts and work with a roster of corporate partners.
“It is important that Speedway remains connected to our businesses while also staying engaged with the community,” said Jennifer Miller, Speedway redevelopment commission president, in a news release. “Carmen’s positive perspective, friendly demeanor, and focus for fostering an atmosphere of integrity, respect and camaraderie will be right at home here in Speedway.”
The town said in the release that throughout her career, Lethig developed and leveraged grant funding to grow the total investment in Indiana communities.
Lethig’s previous role was as administrator of the long-range planning division for the Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development. Prior to that, she worked for the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for 12 years.
