The organization, which matches college seniors with companies for a two-year fellowship, said Wednesday it is making its first foray outside of central Indiana with a new chapter in Evansville.
The Orr Fellowship was founded in 2001. Individuals selected as fellows receive two years of extensive programming and networking opportunities as they work to advance themselves in their careers.
The fellowship is partnering with the Evansville Regional Business Committee and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership to establish the new chapter.
“We’ve been focused on recruiting and developing the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs since 2001, and we now have the opportunity to broaden that impact, by starting our first chapter outside of the Indianapolis area,” Orr Fellowship Steven Emch said in a news release. “A chapter in the Evansville region never would have been possible without the great partnership of ERBC and E-REP.”
E-REP CEO Lloyd Winnecke said the fellowship aligns perfectly with the organization’s Talent EVV plan to grow the city’s young adult population.
The fellowship will begin accepting applications for both fellows and partner companies in the Indianapolis and Evansville regions this fall. The inaugural Evansville cohort is expected to begin in June 2025.
