Indiana-licensed not-for-profit health maintenance organization MDwise on Monday announced the launch of WORKwise, which it says will connect unemployed and underemployed members with opportunities and improve their job readiness.
The organization said the initiative is aligned with the ABC approach: “Any job, better job, career.” The program provides services such as job and interview training, resume writing, and skills tests.
“Empowering our members to get on a path to self-sufficiency is the goal,” MDwise President and CEO Jessica Cromer said in a news release. “MUS has an established track record for connecting people to opportunities, and is aligned with MDwise in our focus on providing equitable access for all to these opportunities.”
The program was made possible through a partnership with Midwest Urban Strategies, a Milwaukee-based consortium of urban workforce boards across the region.
