Subscribe NowHealthgrades is out with its annual list of America’s 250 Best Hospitals, and three Indiana hospitals are included. The health care review website evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals for overall clinical excellence based on patient outcome data for 31 conditions or procedures.
Healthgrades used Medicare inpatient data from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review file purchased from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for years 2020 through 2022.
Hospitals must have had evaluations in at least 21 of the 31 procedures and conditions to be eligible for inclusion on the list.
The Indiana representatives on this year’s list, which is not a ranking, are Franciscan Health Indianapolis, Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, and Reid Health in Richmond.
“This remarkable achievement is a reflection of the high-quality care our patients can expect to receive when they come to Reid,” Reid Health CEO Craig Kinyon said in a news release. “Our team members’ compassion and dedication make this possible. They’re driven to serve all those who entrust us with their care.”
Each Indiana hospital also earned individual awards for certain specialties. You can see those awards by clicking here.
