Incoming Evansville mayor announces city department leaders

Subscribe NowEvansville Mayor-elect Stephanie Terry this week announced her first appointments for the heads of various city departments. They include leaders for the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Transportation and Emergency Management Agency.
The appointments will be effective Jan. 1, the same day that Terry will be inaugurated as mayor.
“Since Election Day, I have been working with my transition team to assemble a group of creative, collaborative city leaders to help move Evansville forward together,” Terry said in a news release. “Over the course of the next week, I am excited to begin introducing this talented group of leaders to the people of Evansville.”
Terry’s office said the full team will include a mix of new appointees and individuals being retained in their current positions.
The 14 appointees announced this week are:
- Lindsay Locasto, Deputy Mayor
- Robert Gunter, City Controller
- Joe Atkinson, Communications Director
- Amanda Joest, Executive Assistant
- Danielle Crook, Executive Director, Department of Parks and Recreation
- Todd M. Robertson, Executive Director, Department of Transportation
- Cliff Weaver, Director, Emergency Management Agency
- Lauren Novell, Climate Action Director
- Diane Clements-Boyd, Executive Director, Evansville-Vanderburgh Human Relations Commission
- Michael Labitzke, City Engineer
- Erik Beck, Executive Director, Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Gardens
- Michael Herke, Levee Superintendent
- Tamara Payne, Executive Director, Human Resources
- Vernon Lutz, Chief Information Officer
