The new partnership will provide financial assistance to Simon Youth Foundation educators seeking to earn their license or a graduate degree from Marian’s Fred S. Klipsch Educators College.
“We are committed to providing teachers and educators with a transformative education that prepares them for success in the profession,” Klipsch Educators College Dean LaTonya Turner said in a news release. “The Simon Youth Foundation partnership will allow us to extend that commitment to even more teachers and educators across the country.”
The Simon Youth Foundation supports alternative education programs across the country in an effort to help reduce the high school dropout rate. The foundation supports 32 Simon Youth Academies across a dozen states.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Marian University,” Foundation CEO Andrea Neely said. “Together, we can continue to make a real difference in the lives of young people and our educators because we believe that all youth, no matter their personal circumstances, should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams through education. Our teachers and educators make this dream come true.”
