The northeast Indiana university announced Wednesday that it will implement an undergraduate tuition freeze beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.
The freeze includes a set rate for four years, meaning students who enter Manchester next fall will be guaranteed to pay that same level for four years.
On its admissions website, the private university lists its 2023-24 undergraduate tuition and fees as just over $37,000. That’s before scholarships and room and board fees are applied. The average Manchester student, according to the website, only pays 32% of the university’s advertised list price, which includes room and board.
A separate student financial services page for the university lists its 2024-25 rates as $37,135 for residential students before housing, meals and scholarships are applied.
Manchester enrolls about 1,300 students and has two campuses; a residential campus in North Manchester and a second location in Fort Wayne.
“We are continuing our work to address concerns students and families have about the rising cost of a college education,” Manchester President Stacy Young said in a news release. “This tuition freeze and lock will help families plan ahead and better understand the total investment for their Manchester degree.”
