The new appointees will begin Jan. 1, 2024.

Jessica McClellan will exchange her role as Monroe County Treasurer to be the city’s chief financial officer as city controller. Indiana University professor Kurt Zorn will work as the deputy city controller on an interim basis.

Jane Kupersmith, who also serves as the executive director of CDFI Friendly Bloomington, will lead the director of the Economic and Sustainable Development Department.
