Our partners at the The Herald Bulletin report the school corporation will give the money to Wigwam Sports & Entertainment if the group takes ownership by July 8. Greg Winkler, director of Anderson Economic Development Department, says the $100,000 from the schools would put WSE over its $600,000 goal to buy the gym.
July 8 will be a historic date for the gym, it will either have a new owner or bids to demolish it will be opened at a school board meeting which happens to fall on the same date.
