The organization said the goal of the list is to honor employers that “prioritize diversity, equity and importantly, accessibility–setting a high standard for others to follow.”
The list was determined based on data provided by companies on the NOD Employment Tracker. The tool is designed to benchmark companies of any size on six focus areas related to disability and veteran inclusion: strategy, talent outcome metrics, climate and culture, talent sourcing, people practices and workplace tools and accessibility.
The 65 companies on the 2023 list are not ranked. Indiana’s representatives on the list included Evansville-based Old National Bank, Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co., and Roche Diagnostics in Indy.
“Actively seeking and championing diversity within our workforce is critical to our success, and annually makes us an employer of choice,” Old National Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Corliss Garner said in a news release. “This and our internal Abilities First Impact Network promote an inclusive work environment that attracts talent and makes us stronger as an organization.”
