CertaSite announced Wednesday it has bought Michigan-based Eastman Fire Protection, a company that focuses on fire extinguisher, emergency and exit lights and suppression systems.
“CertaSite is the perfect partner to build on the foundation laid by our employees and customers,” Eastman owner Doug Cheesman said in a news release. “With CertaSite, we have a unique opportunity to blend our knowledge base with a technology-based platform that offers new product lines, is professional and rooted in best practices, and provides significant value for customers.”
All Eastman employees will keep their jobs, according to the release. Eastman has operated for 45 years out of its Troy, Michigan, home base and will expand into new markets under CertaSite.
“We are grateful to Doug and the entire Eastman family for their continued partnership throughout this process, particularly Kathy D’Angelo, who was so instrumental throughout many aspects of the process,” CEO CertaSite Jeff Wyatt said. “We are committed to preserving the legacy these dedicated professionals built and recognize and respect their strong local presence.”
Eastman is the eighth Michigan-based acquisition CertaSite has made. Ohio’s Fire Loss Control, Iowa’s Heartland Fire & Security and Lafayette-based Ace Fire Protection are another few of the company’s handfuls of company purchases.
