The company said this week it has acquired Junk N More, based in Columbus, Ohio, though financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. However, plans for growth are in the works.
Fire Dawgs said the acquired company will be rebranded under the Fire Dawgs name. Junk N More currently has five full-time and one part-time employee, all of whom will be retained.
The company plans to add up to six full-time jobs over the next year and says the acquisition will further expand its footprint in Ohio after opening an office in Cincinnati last year.
“Junk N More is operated by a reputable and experienced small business owner, Shawn Antill, who believes in the mission at Fire Dawgs Junk Removal which is to ‘Build Leaders and Pursue Growth while providing Award Winning Service.’” Fire Dawgs CEO Bennett Grove said in a news release. “What makes this transaction exciting is that because of Shawn’s belief in our mission and growth, he will be joining the team and helping us continue our expansion in Ohio.”
The acquisition brings the total number of Fire Dawgs employees to 71. It is also the Fire Dawgs’ third acquisition in the last year; the company acquired 4 Alarm Junk Removal in Houston, Texas in July 2022 and Junk Removal Pros in Cincinnati last October.
Fire Dawgs provides a variety of services, including residential and commercial junk removal, furniture removal, charitable donations, hoarder cleanup, and selective demolition.
In addition to its Indianapolis, Ohio and Texas locations, Fire Dawgs has a presence in Bloomington, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Lafayette, Muncie, and northwest Indiana, as well as Louisville, Kentucky.
