Holcomb makes more commission, judicial appointments

They include the Fire Prevention & Building Safety Commission and the Rare Disease Advisory Council, as well as several judicial appointments.
The appointments include:
Fire Prevention & Building Safety Commission
The governor made five reappointments to the commission, who will serve until July 31, 2027:
- Logan Cook (Fishers), senior associate and unit manager with Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates
- James Murua (Fort Wayne), assistant chief and fire marshal with the Fort Wayne Fire Department
- Scott Pannicke (Indianapolis), architect with RATIO Architects, Inc.
- Michael Popich (Indianapolis), manager of the Bureau of Construction Services for the City of Indianapolis
- Michael Zehner (Evansville), owner of Zehner Development Corp, Zehner Contracting LLC, and Zehner Homes, LLC
The governor also made five new appointments to the commission, who will serve until July 31, 2027:
- John Crisp (Indianapolis), executive managing director, Cushman & Wakefield
- Scott Miller (Carmel), president of Bowman Construction
- Michael Patarino (Greenwood), president of construction with Cityscape Residential LLC
- David Porter (Noblesville), president of Mechanical Contracting Services, Inc.
- Kenneth Wagner (Osceloa), former construction manager for Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County
Additionally, the governor selected Fire Marshal James Murua as the chair of the commission.
Rare Disease Advisory Council
The governor appointed Dr. Wade Clapp (Indianapolis), chair of the department of Pediatrics and a distinguished professor at Indiana University, to serve as chair of the new council.
Judicial Appointments
The governor made five judicial appointments in July:
- Ashley Niccole Hand has been appointed to the Allen Circuit Court.
- Douglas Kenneth Mawhorr has been appointed to the Delaware Circuit Court 3.
- Melanie Kendrick has been appointed to the Marion County Superior Court.
- Philip Sheward has been appointed to the Marion County Superior Court.
- Daniel Reed Young has been appointed to the Vermillion Circuit Court.
