Mainstream Fiber Networks of Nashville, Indiana, was recently approved to become a provider of the Federal Communications Commission’s Affordable Connectivity Program, meaning the company will now be able to offer discounted internet to eligible households.
The program allows Mainstream to offer discounts lowering internet costs up to $30 per month, according to a news release from the company.
“The internet is one of the most important modern tools available to the public, but unfortunately it is not something everyone has affordable access to today,” Mainstream Fiber Networks CEO Bryan Gabriel said. “We’re excited to continue our mission of bringing high-speed broadband to as many Hoosiers as possible at a cost everyone can afford as an ACP provider.”
Mainstream Fiber Networks offers services in eight Indiana counties and has offices in Corydon, Fowler and Newburgh in addition to its Nashville headquarters.
Eligible households can enroll in the program by visiting www.ACPBenefit.org or www.GetInternet.gov. More information about the Affordable Connectivity Program is available online at www.fcc.gov/acp.
