Cate Charron – Reporter

Cate Charron is a statewide business reporter for Inside INdiana Business, primarily writing about central and southern Indiana. You can also hear her rattling off the headlines on NPR stations around the state and IIB’s daily podcast. 

Cate previously worked for the Indianapolis Star as a Pulliam Fellow covering the Indiana General Assembly’s 2023 session and other news. She also interned for the Herald-Times in Bloomington and worked for the Student Press Law Center. 

While attending Indiana University, Cate was an award-winning student journalist and the editor-in-chief of her student newspaper, the Indiana Daily Student. She majored in journalism with a certificate in informatics. 

She is originally from metro Detroit and is a big soccer and IU women’s basketball fan in her free time.
