The furniture company, founded in 1963, looks to bring around 40 new jobs to the Clarksville area with its new Furniture Fair location, adding to their 400-person workforce.
OKI currently has 10 locations across Ohio and Kentucky with the eleventh and first store in Indiana opening in Clarksville. OKI says it has invested millions of dollars into the new 89,000-square-foot facility to grow the regional market surrounding Louisville.
“Stability and knowledge are the keys to longevity,” said Rick Daniels, OKI Furniture Inc. CEO and president. “Many fine furniture stores have come and gone since 1963, but we’re still here because of our people and how we care for the customer. The best ad in the world is a happy customer.”
A spokesperson for OKI told IIB the company does not currently have any other locations planned for Indiana but expects continued growth and the possibility of one at a later date.
The ribbon cutting event will take place Tuesday at 725 Lewis and Clark Pkwy in Clarksville at 4:30 p.m..
