Countywide job fair set for Crawfordsville

The city of Crawfordsville is hosting a countywide on Tuesday. Nearly 40 employers have registered for the event, including companies in the manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare sectors.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the 4-H Fair Grounds. The event will also have employer representatives from the supply chain, banking and finance, transportation, law enforcement, public safety, retail, construction, HVAC, plumbing, and electric sectors.
In addition to job opportunities, Ivy Tech Community College will be available to discuss certifications and other opportunities to improve workers’ skills. Representatives from WorkOne West Central will be available to offer resume tips and other information for workforce needs.
“There is unprecedented employment opportunity in our community and we are excited to host an event that allows those seeking such opportunity to connect with the area’s great employers. I truly appreciate so many area businesses taking time to participate, creating a one-stop shop for our residents,” Mayor Todd Barton said in a news release.
New to the job fair this year is the availability of Spanish translation for those in need from Montgomery County Leadership Academy Executive Director Jeremy Lemus, Crawfordsville | Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stacy Sommer.
