Fort Wayne, Ind. – Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry today announced that Carolyn Ovitt has been named director of human resources for the City of Fort Wayne.
Ovitt has been with the City since 2009 in the human resources department leading professional development efforts.
Prior to her service in government, Ovitt held leadership positions with Lincoln Financial Group, Industrial Innovation, and Workplace Technologies.
“Carolyn's experience and expertise in human resources and professional development make her a great addition to our leadership team,” said Mayor Henry. “I look forward to working with Carolyn and her team as we engage, innovate, and perform to meet the needs of our community.”
Ovitt has a bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. She will begin her duties as director of human resources immediately as she has served as interim director of human resources since January.Source: City of Fort Wayne
