News Release
Princeton, Ind. — 30 nonprofits in the Tri-State will share more than $140,000 in grants from Toyota Indiana this quarter. The amount moves the needle past the $20 million dollar mark donated in the area since 1997.
The grants will be used by many diverse nonprofit agencies to improve the quality of life in the Tri-State – something representatives of Toyota say is part of its mission.
“At Toyota, we feel fortunate to be mentioned along with the other corporate citizens that make the Tri-State a great place to work and live,” said Kelly Dillon, Toyota Indiana spokeswoman. “By giving back to the community, we hope to continue improving the quality of life in the area for the next generation.”
Physics students at North High School in Evansville will soon have access to new lab equipment, paid for in part by Toyota.
“The money donated from Toyota will help us purchase digital interfaces and software to analyze data from a STEM initiative that the University of Southern Indiana is assisting us with,” said Denna Sharp, North High School Physics Teacher. “This support means that our students will become familiar with advanced laboratory techniques used at the collegiate level and in industry.”
