The commission has already approved Tax Increment Financing on the plan, which Todd Donati says could total $1.3 million. Development is being led by Mark Waterfill, who is an attorney in Indianapolis that has been part of similar development in central Indiana.
The city is aiming for Muncie-area companies to be involved in developing the 100,000 square-foot project.
Plans call for an assisted living center, memory care facility independent living condos and potential retail space.
Donati tells Inside INdiana Business it could be complete in the 4th quarter of this year or early next year.
