The brewery this week announced a multi-year partnership to sell its beer at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.
The Upland Brewing Co. Bar opened Tuesday during an Indiana Pacers game on the Balcony Level of the fieldhouse. Terry Tiernon, vice president of corporate partnerships for Pacers Sports & Entertainment, said in a news release the partnership is a win-win for both organizations.
“At Upland, we are committed to investing in the Indiana community,” said Upland VP of Sales and Marketing Patrick Roberts said. “The Pacers are as much a part of our identity as the foothills of Bloomington where we’ve been brewing our award-winning beers for 25 years. As we have been expanding across the state, we’re thrilled to bring the Upland name to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.”
The partnership comes just a few months after Upland was named the exclusive craft beer sponsor for Indiana University Athletics. Last month, the brewery launched a survey seeking public input for the development of the first IU Athletics-branded beer, which will be released next year.
Upland Brewing Co. was founded in 1998 and has brewpubs and tasting rooms located in Bloomington, Carmel, Columbus, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, and Southport.
