Paul Perkins, who is president of Jeffersonville-based Amatrol Inc. was named chair.
Amatrol is an interactive technical education provider. The chamber says Perkins experience in the educational space is critical as the chamber, and the state as a whole, puts more attention on education and workforce.
“Paul’s expertise has been critical as we work to enhance workforce development efforts and legislation in the state,” said Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar. “With education and workforce being the most pressing challenges facing Hoosier businesses today, his leadership will be greatly valued.”
In addition to his chamber role, Perkins also serves on the Indiana Governor’s Workforce Cabinet and a variety of boards to further help foster talent in the state.
More than 200 members from organizations throughout the state make up the board – including presidents, CEOs and high-level executives.
“We’re adding many talented professionals from around the state to our board to maximize our impact for the business community as we tackle critical issues and enhance economic prosperity in Indiana,” said Brinegar. “Members are able to apply their specific knowledge and talents to committees to further hone their impact. We look forward to all their contributions.”
