It will be the 10th time the event has been held in Indy, which hosted the entire NCAA tournament in 2021 and is also set to host the Final Four in 2026.
The 2029 Men’s Final Four is scheduled for March 31 and April 2 of that year. The Indiana Sports Corp will partner with the Horizon League and IUPUI to host the event, both in 2026 and 2029.
“The privilege of hosting the Men’s Final Four is one we never take for granted and we are grateful to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Selection Committee for awarding us this opportunity,” ISC President Patrick Talty said in written remarks. “The sport of basketball has deep roots in the state of Indiana, and we look forward to bringing the community together for this premier event and elevating the student-athlete and fan experience alongside the NCAA.”
In an announcement on Tuesday, the Indianapolis-based NCAA also named Detroit, Las Vegas and North Texas as hosts of the 2027, 2028 and 2030 events, respectively.
Indianapolis hosted the Final Four in 1980 at Market Square Arena; in 1991, 1997, 2000 and 2006 at the RCA Dome; and in 2010, 2015 and 2021 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Tuesday’s announcement comes one day after Indianapolis was selected to host the 2028 NCAA Women’s Final Four at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
