Attendees will sign one of the structural beams that will become part of the new Eskenazi Health Center at the corner of East 38th Street and North Arlington Avenue.
The health facility, which was announced in June, will be just a few blocks west of the new medical device manufacturing plant owned by Bloomington-based Cook Medical and operated by Goodwill Commercial Services.
The ceremony will take place at the Avondale Meadows YMCA.
In addition to the ceremony, Eskenazi is hosting a community health fair that will offer free flu shots, health screenings and COVID vaccines.
The health system says the project is part of more than $50 million in capital improvements to its primary care facilities across Marion County.
Eskenazi Health says it has been collaborating with members of the immediate neighborhoods and community organizations throughout the planning and design of the building and the services it will offer.
