This marks the company’s fourth acquisition in the northern Indiana market over the past two years.
Concurrently, LRS also purchased Minnesota-based AirFresh Industries. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the acquisitions are effective immediately.
These represent the seventh and eighth acquisitions in 2022 by LRS.
“I am thrilled to welcome both AirFresh and JL Hurt employees, customers, and legacy founders to the LRS family. Both companies have built their success by sharing in our core values of safety and service excellence, a relentless focus on the customer experience, and raw entrepreneurial spirit, making these acquisitions a seamless transition for all parties,” said LRS President and Chief Executive Officer Alan Handley.
The company is expanding throughout the Midwest. Last year, it acquired 22 companies, including LaPorte County-based Johnson Johns and Joy Johns, a portable restroom provider in Niles, Michigan. LRS also purchased South Bend-based Junoll Industries, a roll-off dumpster and transfer station, this past March.
Handley says JL Hurt founder, Justin Hurt, will remain on with the company in a senior operations position.
