Accuride to invest $2M, add jobs to Henderson facility

(NYSE: ACW) says it will invest $2 million to make improvements to its Henderson, KY facility and add 15 jobs. The Courier & Press reports the money will be used to replace the facility’s roof, install new cooling towers, and upgrade equipment.
Executives from the Henderson plant say the project will also provide job opportunities in production, maintenance, as well as salaried positions.
The company says the new jobs will pay around $39 an hour, including benefits. Accuride also says it has added a premium pay for working night shifts.
The Courier & Press says Accuride opened the Henderson plant in 1974 and supplies more than 10,000 wheels daily to the heavy truck industry. It currently employs 137 full-time workers.
The company says June was a record-breaking month for the Henderson facility, producing 205,000 wheels in one month.
