Pickering will succeed founder Jeff Jarecki, who is retiring from the hospice and palliative care company after more than nine years.
Paradigm says Pickering will also be nominated to the company’s advisory board.
“Her experience, knowledge, compassion, and leadership are a perfect fit to not only embrace our culture but help lead Paradigm to continued new heights,” said Jarecki. “I look forward to being able to step away from the day-to-day responsibilities yet maintain a presence in our strategic direction.”
Jarecki will transition to chairman of the advisory board.
“Jeff, the Paradigm team, and I share a similar mindset that demonstrates our commitment to our team members, patients, and the mission of delivering exceptional patient care,” said Pickering. “Our intention is to continue to grow Paradigm, enabling us to provide a superior hospice experience to an even greater number of patients.”
Paradigm says Pickering’s background includes more than 13 years of healthcare experience, as well as various executive leadership roles in the hospice, home health and post-acute provider industries. Previously, she served as vice president of operations for Utah-based Bristol Hospice where she oversaw transitional and acquired hospice companies.
