Dallas-based mattress manufacturer Corsicana Mattress Co. will Wednesday open its 165,000-square-foot facility in La Porte. Corsicana announced plans in 2020 to invest nearly $9 million to lease and equip the manufacturing facility and create up to 350 jobs by the end of 2023.

The company will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

The facility will house the company’s domestic boxed bed manufacturing. The company expects to produce more than 1,500 boxed beds per day.

Corsicana manufactures five brands: NightsBridge, Early Bird, Renue, American Bedding and Sleep Inc. The company says the new location improves its proximity to bedding suppliers and logistics companies.
