Indianapolis, Ind. — Duke Realty Corporation (NYSE: DRE), a leading nationwide REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) specializing in the ownership, management and development of bulk industrial facilities, medical office properties and suburban office buildings, announced today that Nick Anthony has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Anthony also will be a member of Duke Realty's Executive, Operating and Investment Committees.
“Nick Anthony has been a valuable Duke Realty associate for more than 20 years and has been involved in significant transactions that have helped us grow our portfolio and strategically allocate capital across our investment platform,” said Dennis D. Oklak, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Duke Realty. “In his new role, Nick will take on even greater responsibility for the company's investment decisions.”
In his new position, Mr. Anthony will oversee all acquisition and disposition transactions, working closely with Duke Realty's senior operating managers. He also will be responsible for administering joint venture partnerships the company has with other investors.
Mr. Anthony began his career with Duke Realty in 1989 in its Cincinnati office. In the ensuing years, he held positions in Financial Analysis, as a Regional Controller for the company's Ohio properties and Vice President of Portfolio Management. In 2005, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Capital Transactions and Joint Ventures. In that role, he has been integrally involved in many transformative transactions including billion dollar dispositions of flex and office properties; the acquisition of the Mark Winkler Company in Washington, D.C.; the formation of our joint venture with Chambers Street Properties; and the acquisition of the Premier Realty portfolio in South Florida.
Mr. Anthony received his bachelor's degree in accounting and management from Anderson University and is a certified public accountant.
