IPFW says the change comes after a recently expanded agreement between Indiana’s Commission for Higher Education and the Ohio Board of Regents.
IPFW will now offer Indiana in-state, resident tuition rates to students in Allen, Auglaize, Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, and Williams counties. The school says this brings the total number of Ohio counties covered by the reciprocity agreement to 14. Students in Butler, Darke, Preble, Shelby, Mercer, and Van Wert counties will continue to receive in-state tuition rates.
"We are very excited to offer our closest Ohio neighbors the opportunity to earn a prestigious IU or Purdue degree at IPFW without the out-of-state tuition rates. When the original reciprocity agreement went into effect, the Ohio families nearest to us hoped they would be included in the future. Now they are. The expanded reciprocity agreement will make a wonderful impact on this region," Chancellor Vicky Carwein said.
