Global Supplier to Get to Work on $61M Expansion

Subscribe NowFaurecia Emissions Control Technologies officials will break ground Thursday on a $61 million expansion of its North American headquarters in Columbus. The project is expected to create more than 130 jobs.
The manufacturer currently has 1,635 Bartholomew County employees.
The 400,000 square-foot facility will be next to the research and development center and will produce a new line of automotive industry emission control components.
Faurecia bills itself as the world's seventh-largest automotive supplier. It plans to begin hiring staff members for the new facility in 2017.
The groundbreaking will include Mayor Kristen Brown and representatives from Faurecia, the Indiana Economic Corp. and the Columbus Economic Development Board.
