Purdue students, faculty create virtual reality swim trials experience

While more than 1,000 athletes compete for a spot on Team USA inside Lucas Oil Stadium, two Purdue faculty members and two students are giving visitors the chance to swim through virtual reality.

As part of USA Swimming Live, Purdue debuted the video game experience on Georgia Street. Two people can race through a virtual pool all the way to a smiling Purdue Pete on the other side.
