CIRTA says the event will also highlight its transportation system that gets workers from Indy to outlying communities.
“We want to make sure that Indianapolis residents know about the great work opportunities in Hendricks County,” said CIRTA Executive Director John Seber. “We want to make sure that transportation isn’t a barrier for someone interested in seizing those opportunities.”
Companies represented at the hiring fair include Adelta Logis, Elwood Staffing, FedEx Express, Geodis, HG Metals, Home Depot, MD Logistics, NAPA and Spherion Staffing. Starting pay at the facilities is $17 an hour.
The Plainfield Workforce Connector routes connect with IndyGo’s route 8. The first ride of the day departs at 5:15 a.m. and goes directly to Plainfield with no stops.
The job fair runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CAGI, 3266 N. Meridian St. No registration is necessary.
CIRTA also offers workforce connector service to Whitestown.
