The Damien Center says the new location at the Community Alliance of the Far Eastside will offer a variety of services including medical care, testing, and emergency assistance.
Damien Center President and Chief Executive Officer Alan Witchey says CAFE has been operating on the far east side for decades.
“It is important for us to partner with trusted organizations like CAFE to ensure that we reach as many people in this community as possible. Damien Center strives to be a one-stop-shop home for HIV wellness, and it is critical that our clients stay engaged and retained in care. This collaboration helps ensure these individuals have access to equitable care,” said Witchey.
Witchey says Damien Center chose the far eastside location due to data analysis on Marion County HIV cases, which found a high concentration of people living with HIV and new HIV cases in the area around 38th Street and Post Road.
