He has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, including 12 years in his current role. He most recently also served as chief executive officer of Mercer County Hospital and is past president of the Indiana Rural Health Association and the National Rural Health Association. He holds degrees from Vincennes University, Oakland City University, University of Southern Indiana and his doctorate from Medical University of South Carolina.
