Venture studio High Alpha has begun to move into its new corporate headquarters there and the Bottleworks Hotel is set to open in December. The 139-room boutique hotel, which will include 12,000 square feet of event space and an open-air urban courtyard, is a key element of phase one of the project on the east end of Mass Ave.
“We really want everyone to think of Bottleworks District as its own, just that, district,” said hotel General Manager Amy Isbell-Williams. “(A place) where everyone can come to experience the sights and sounds and tastes and all of the experience we are going to have there.”
Isbell-Williams talked about the hotel and what’s next for Bottleworks on this weekend’s edition of Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick.
The Bottleworks project is transforming a former Coca-Cola bottling plant into a mixed-use culinary, arts and entertainment hub that will also feature 180,000 square feet of office space and 175,000 square feet of retail space.
Following the opening of the Bottleworks Hotel in December, The Garage, a food hall with about two dozen local and regional vendors, is slated to open this winter.
Developers, who bill the project as the largest private development of its kind in Indiana, had originally hoped to open phase one in September.
