Rolls-Royce Awarded More Than $200M in Military Contracts

Subscribe NowRolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis has been awarded a total of more than $200 million for two military contracts. The U.S. Department of Defense says the contracts call for work associated with military engines.
The company received a $197 million modification to a previously-award contract for work associated with its F405-RR-401 engine, which is used for U.S. Navy jets.
Most of the work will be conducted at company facilities in Texas and Mississippi.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.
The company was also awarded an $8.6 million modification to a previously awarded contract for four marine turbine engines for Landing Craft Air Cushion, which is similar to a hovercraft.
The DoD says the procurement is in support of the Ship to Shore Connector program. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is expected to be completed by September 2022.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity working.
