Bill and Kristin Fenech donated 10,000 of the masks to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund established by United Way of Elkhart & LaGrange Counties and the Community Foundation of Elkhart County.
The masks are being distributed to Elkhart General Hospital, Goshen Health and nursing homes in the area to protect workers from contracting and spreading the virus.
“In the midst of extraordinary times, we have exceptional individuals stepping forward to help their community. Bill and Kristin Fenech are two such people. We are very grateful for their generous gift,” said United Way of Elkhart & LaGrange Counties President/Chief Executive Officer Bill Rieth.
Beacon Health System and Goshen Health representatives have already begun receiving the masks, which have experienced an increase in demand as supplies dwindle.
