Clancy’s Hamburgers, Hard Truth Distilling Co. and J’s Lobster will fill spaces in the downtown Indianapolis development.
Hard Truth Distilling Co. is based in Brown County and came along in 2015 with Big Woods Restaurant Group. Plans call for them to offer signature spirits in a cocktail bar concept.
“The Hard Truth bar concept will be a first for us,” said Jeff McCabe, chairman of Hard Truth Distilling Co. “Our goal is to create an ‘organoleptic’ experience—something that pertains to all senses. And we feel Bottleworks is the perfect place to do that, making Indianapolis a new home for us.”
Clancy’s Hamburgers was founded in Noblesville in 1965 by Carl Fogelsong and will now be continued by his grandsons, Perry and Blake Fogelsong in the Mass. Ave development. They plan a new menu and a fresh take on their ’60’s diner concept. J’s Lobster will offer lobster rolls, shrimp, crab and other seafood from founder J. Wolf.
“The culinary scene on Mass Ave, and the future Bottleworks setup, provides the perfect opportunity to introduce my fellow Hoosiers to Lobster Rolls,” J said. “I want to bring an authentic east coast feel to Indy—I want to be the Lobster Roll guy.”
Several other vendors have announced plans to locate in the 30,000 square foot food hall, which is expected to open in April 2020.
